Delete your account

You can permanently delete your CartCircle: Shopping List account from the app. If you no longer have access to the app, you can submit a verified request from this page.

Delete your account in CartCircle

The fastest and safest option is the authenticated deletion flow inside the app.

  1. Open your profile

    Sign in to CartCircle and open the Profile tab.

  2. Choose Delete account

    Scroll to the account section and select Delete account.

  3. Review and confirm

    Read the deletion notice carefully, then confirm the permanent deletion.

This cannot be undone. Signing out or uninstalling CartCircle does not delete your account.

If you cannot access the app

You can request deletion without reinstalling CartCircle. Send a request from the email address connected to your account. Use the subject CartCircle account deletion request and include the account email in the message.

We will verify ownership before any account or data is deleted.

Email account support

Never send us your password. CartCircle support will never ask for your password, Apple credentials, or Google credentials.

What deletion removes

Once your verified deletion is processed, CartCircle removes:

  • Your CartCircle sign-in account and user profile.
  • Your email, display name, membership references, and profile image.
  • Your personal stores, shopping items, saved lists, and personal automations.
  • Family invitations sent by or addressed to your account.
  • Your registered push-notification tokens and associated preferences.
  • Your access to every family group and all shared group content.

Data stored only on your device can also be removed by uninstalling CartCircle or clearing the app’s local storage after the account deletion finishes.

What happens to shared family data

If other people remain in a family group, shared stores, lists, and items stay available to those members. Your access and membership are removed. If you owned the group or shared content, ownership is transferred to a remaining member.

If you are the only member, the family group and its shared shopping content are deleted. This prevents one person’s account deletion from unexpectedly erasing shopping information that still belongs to other active members.

Verification and request safety

A typed email address alone is not enough to delete an account. We verify that the requester controls the account email or the relevant sign-in method before processing deletion. We may ask for additional non-sensitive information if it is reasonably necessary to resolve an account mismatch.

  • Email requests are not processed until account ownership is verified.
  • We do not disclose whether an email is registered to an unverified requester.
  • Deletion is limited to the account connected to the verified identity.
  • Verified requests are processed without undue delay, subject to applicable legal requirements.
