Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the CartCircle: Shopping List mobile application (“CartCircle”) and related support services. CartCircle is operated by [Developer name], referred to as “CartCircle,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy.
It covers information processed when you create an account, manage personal shopping data, collaborate in a family group, upload a profile image, receive notifications, or contact support.
Information we handle
We collect only the information needed to provide, understand, and secure CartCircle.
Account information
Email address, display name, internal account identifier, sign-in method, and profile photo if you choose one.
Shopping content
Stores, items, quantities, saved lists, descriptions, tags, shopping status, and scheduled automations.
Family collaboration
Family group membership, invitations, member names and emails, and shared stores or lists.
Notifications
Push notification token, selected language, notification preferences, and automation delivery settings.
Device permissions
Camera or photo library access only when you choose a profile photo, and notification permission when requested.
Local preferences
Theme, language, navigation choices, tooltips, notification settings, and an offline shopping overview cache stored on your device.
Usage and diagnostics
App screens viewed, successful feature actions, app and device information, crash reports, stack traces, and related diagnostic data.
Feedback
The message you submit, your account email and display name, and the time it was sent so we can review and understand your feedback.
No advertising profiles. CartCircle does not include advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information.
Our cloud infrastructure and your chosen sign-in provider may automatically process limited technical information—such as device identifiers, IP address, request metadata, and security logs—to authenticate you, deliver requested features, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
Our custom analytics events use general categories and counts. They do not include your email address or the names of your stores, lists, or shopping items.
How we use information
- Provide the service: create your account, synchronize shopping data, and keep your changes available across devices.
- Enable collaboration: deliver family invitations and share selected stores, lists, and items with group members.
- Run automations: schedule recurring shopping items using the time zone and schedule you select.
- Send notifications: notify you about invitations, shared activity, and scheduled automations according to your settings.
- Protect CartCircle: authenticate requests, enforce access rules, troubleshoot failures, and prevent misuse.
- Understand and improve the app: measure use of major screens and completed features, diagnose crashes, and prioritize reliability improvements.
- Review feedback: understand suggestions and reported problems submitted from the app.
- Respond to you: handle support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
Where applicable, we process information to perform our agreement with you, based on your consent, to meet legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as securing and maintaining CartCircle.

Update your display name and profile photo from the Profile screen.

Change CartCircle notification settings in the app and device settings.
Shared content
Manage stores, lists, family membership, invitations, and automations through the relevant app screens.
Account deletion
Permanently delete your account in the app or submit an external request through our deletion page.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or receive a portable copy of your information. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Retention and deletion
We keep account and shopping information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide CartCircle. Local preferences and cache remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
When you delete your account, CartCircle deletes your authentication account, profile, profile images, personal shopping records, invitations, push tokens, personal automations, and feedback linked to your account. Your access is removed from every family group.
Shared family data: stores, lists, and items shared with remaining family members may stay with that group. If needed, ownership is transferred to another member so their shared information is not lost.
Limited security records or backups may remain temporarily where technically necessary or legally required, then be deleted or de-identified under the applicable service-provider retention process.
Analytics and crash diagnostics may be retained separately under our configured service-provider retention settings. Aggregated or de-identified measurements that are no longer linked to your CartCircle account may remain after account deletion.
Security and international processing
CartCircle uses authenticated access, encrypted network connections, server-side authorization, storage rules, and restricted administrative access designed to prevent unauthorized access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect access to your device and sign-in provider.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, information is protected through recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual or technical safeguards.
Children’s privacy
CartCircle is a general-audience shopping utility and is not directed to children. Children should use the service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when CartCircle, our providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be communicated where required.
